United Airlines has ordered 25 Airbus A350 XWB airliners.
March 10: US carrier United Airlines has become the 33rd customer for the Airbus A350 XWB with an order for 25 aircraft, formalising a commitment announced in December 2009.
The aircraft will be powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines and deliveries will begin in 2016, running through until 2019.
The order book for the yet-to-be-built aircraft now stands at 530.
